What They Never Tell You

They always say that tears run down your cheeks.
They never talk about what's next.

They roll on and on until both streams come together
under your chin, and from there they drop
upon your new cashmere sweater
you just have to cry hard enough
and they will form a stain, visible for everyone.

They always tell you how tears run down your cheeks,
but what if your lying on your back

they fill your ears and make you deaf.

You can drown from crying

From then on all that's left are the voices in your head that talk and talk and
won't stop no matter how much you cry
you'll never get away from them.

tears don't stop after they rolled down your cheeks
they roll on. and sometimes they creep back into your eyes
and into your head and you drown from inside out.

If you just cry hard enough.
